FAQ

Common Questions

How do I get started with counselling? expand_more

You can reach out by phone, email, or the contact form on this website. We'll arrange a free 15-minute consultation so you can ask questions and see if we're a good fit before committing to sessions.

Do you offer virtual sessions? expand_more

Yes. Virtual (online) sessions are available via a secure video platform. This makes counselling accessible from the comfort of your home, wherever you are in British Columbia.

What is your cancellation policy? expand_more

Please provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee. Life happens — please reach out as soon as you know you need to reschedule.

Do you accept insurance? expand_more

Many extended health plans in Canada cover counselling with a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor. Please check with your insurance provider regarding your specific coverage. I can provide receipts for reimbursement claims.

How long does each session last? expand_more

Standard sessions are 50 minutes. This allows time for check-in, focused work, and grounding before you leave.

Is counselling confidential? expand_more

Yes. Everything discussed in our sessions is kept strictly confidential with very limited exceptions required by law (e.g. risk of imminent harm to self or others, or child abuse disclosures). Confidentiality will be covered fully in the informed consent agreement before we begin.
